SIYAO ANGELA CHEN

Angela is currently a freshman at Drexel University, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation while minoring in Psychology. During her freshman year, Angela became involved in many non-profit organizations that targeted wellness in the Asian community. Such included joining the Chinese Immigrant Families Wellness Initiative (CIFWI) as a peer mentor who worked to guide mentees in expanding knowledge on the importance of psychological wellness and an intergenerational project—which targeted intergenerational trauma, immigration, etc. Covid has led her to idealize the resolution of racism and stereotypical comments thrown at her identity. Because of this, she joined GCC as a development associate who worked along with her peers to spread positivity towards her community. During her time at Drexel, she also received an internship from a fantastic firm in marketing and development. Angela had worked in many fields, ranging from the business field to politics to the medical field, because of this, she had come in contact with diversified ideologies and opinions that became part of her identity today. She enjoys playing Badminton, traveling, and involving herself with music and fashion in her free time.
